High Torque ratings FRAN double reduction speed reducers, are designed for low output speeds, with a high efficiency helical gear set for the first reduction, made of 4140 steel, ground and nitrided. The second reduction is made with a worm and gear set, the worm being also ground and nitrided, thus achieving the correct lead and a superior finish. The material for the wormgear, is a SAE 68 bronze, with great load carrying capabilities. The case is made of alloy cast iron, providing rigid bearing and gears support. All the shafts are of 4140 alloy steel, allowing for heavy shocks and loads.   MODELS FRAN double reduction helical and wormgear units can be supplied for horizontal or vertical work, with double output shaft, hollow output shaft, motor flange, output flange, and many more combinations.
